(473ml can from the brewery) Pours opaque purplish red with basically no head, decent amount of fruit pulp 'lace'. Aroma is surprisingly watermelon-forward, like sugared fresh watermelon, candy apple and maybe a little cherry, almost herbal in its expression of watermelon despite the sweetness of the ice cream. Flavour is sweet up front, red cherry pulp, sugared watermelon, more savoury cucumber-like watermelon notes too, certainly creamy from the ice cream but with a little tangy cherry/lactic bite from the middle of the sip into the finish. Lots of watermelon savoury aspects in the lightly sweet-tart aftertaste and just a hint of noyaux. Full-bodied, super-velvety creaminess, light carbonation. Super-unique smoothie combination here! The watermelon ice cream is almost 'more watermelon than watermelon' in its presentation, probably because of the less watery composition, and really knocks the flavour out of the park compared to typical watermelon beers. Ace.
