Bouteille 33cl @ Fiera della birra di Forli ’14. Cheers to the Birradamare guys for the hook up and an ever growing list of compliments for their beers. BB 06/2015.

Bottle. Cloudy amber with an inch of white head that fades to a lovely coat. Smoky singed toffee aroma with dried bananas. Taste is sweet and peaty with toffee, some over-ripe fruit, grass, some pepper. Started at about 8C - fruity complexities emerged but the sweetness started to grate. Still, interesting.

Pours dark amber with a fading head.Nose shows heavy peat with almost medicinal notes to it. Also a fair bit of sweet malt hinting at golden syrup.Sweet flavours, almost syrupy sweet, but with lots of peat following. Gets a little cloying.Too much carbonation.

From bottle at the brewpub. Pours hazy dark orange with a huge, dense and off white head. Aroma is dense meaty smoked. Solid ham, bacon and bonfire smoked. Dense malty and leathery. Thick and lingering dark smoked finish.

Draught at Italian Beer Festival 2010
Cloudy orange-amber color; creamy head. Light caramel, hop and smoke aroma, very light ashes. Good caramel flavor, bottom-fermentation fruitness, the mouthfeel is quite dry in the beginning, a bit sweeter later. Correct bitterness. The beer is a correct Vienna, the smoke should be more evident.
