(750ml bottle from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours moderately hazy pale yellow with a small white head and no lace. Heavily acidic cider, lots of tart yellow apples and crabapples with a fair whack of cider vinegar and a squeeze of lemony lactic acid, quite yeasty but a mix of funky barnyard nose and more leathery and even saison-like elements in the mouth. Remains bracingly acidic through the sip despite some prominent chewy tannins from the crabapple maceration drying out the finish. Light body, fairly soft but spritzy carbonation. Enjoyable complexity of flavours but too acidic for me on balance.
