* Old rating, best before 13.09.10 Nice "Heller Bock". Fresh, not too deep, slightly dusty-yeasty, slightly bitter. Not too bad.

Draught at the brauhaus
Hazy amber color; creamy head. The malt profile of this beer is too subdued, there is some caramel, but also some sourness, evident both in the aroma and flavor. Off.

(swing top bottle) Slightly hazy, golden colour with a short but stable cream-coloured foamy head. Sweet bready and cara-malty aroma, also slightly grainy with a touch of herbal hops and alcohol. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Hearty (cara-)malty and bready taste with shy notes of honey; sweet malt-accented finish with a delicately herbal hoppy touch. Decent and pleasant. 04.VIII.08

50 cL bottle, courtesy of fonefan. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Aroma is mild phenolic and malty. Sweet caramelish and light fruity. Subdued hops note, yet a light counter bitterness to balance. Caramelish sweet finish, slight phenolic too.

Bottled. A hazy dark golden beer with a thin beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and alcohol, as well as light notes of bread. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel, metal, and alcohol, as well as notes of bread, leading to a dry metallic finish.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a hazy golden with an off-white head. Sweet malty nose with flowery hops. Very solid malt base, sweet, clean malts and again flowery - almost perfumy - hops. Bitterish finish with some detectable alcohol also. Quite solid. 200310
