Tap at Watering Hole. Clear amber colour, small off white head. Aroma not so much, light tropical fruit, bit of citrus. Quite weak but not unpleasant. Taste has expected bitterness, quite subtle though. Bit of orange at the end, and a bitter finish. Grapefruit. Quite drinkable. Not that exciting though. Lost something on the way over maybe.

Bottle at home. Doesn’t seem like a bomber type of beer. Amber pour small frothy head. Nose is caramel and pine. Tastes of caramel, brown sugar, earthy, grapefruit, pine, orange zest. Thinner but pleasant enough palate.

Bomber from Total Wine. Pours murky orange with a small off-white head. Aroma is syrup at first, but has hints of orange, floral hops, and caramel as well. Flavor is not too syrupy. Kinda earthy undertones below some pine, oily citrus, toffee, soap, and bread crust.

Bottle from Harvest Foods in Moses Lake. Deep amber with silky beige head. Malt dominates the aroma, nice caramelly scent. Malt also provides most of the flavor, with some hops at the end drying the whole thing out. Close to an English IPA.

On tap at the GJBF in Osaka 2014. A clear deep copper color. It has a somewhat musty resinous hoppy pungent nose. Well balanced though bitter and while not complex it is satisfying as all hell .

Bottle, brought back from the Xmas road trip. Pours a nice caramel color topped with a monster beige head. Lots of sticky lacing follows a lumpy finger to the bottom of the glass. Nose is good, a sweet and piney blend. Good caramel malts and citrus balance the florals. Overall quite easy to drink, but potent. Good stuff.

Tap at Marciero. Fruity, resinous aroma, some caramel, rich stone fruits. Deep amber color with a fine, lacy head. Nice enough flavor, cherry, muscat, peach, plum, pine, a bit of chocolate. Full. Ok, but not enough flavor for the strength, and a bit too thick. Very old school.

Bottle: Poured a bright orangey color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and floral aroma is quite engaging. Taste is also dominated by citrus notes with some floral undertones and some lightly sweet caramel malt notes. Pine notes are also noticeable. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. A bit too sweet for my taste but still extremely enjoyable.
