Bottle, pours reddish dark brown with a medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, smoke and some chocolate. Flavour of smoke initially, with roasted malt and subtle chocolate in the background. Finishes with smoky bitterness.

Very good beige head over opaque dark-brown beer with red reflections. Smoked (ham)nose with chocolate, felt, and shrimp-like aroma (like a fresh stock made of shells); charcoal. Smoked ham, chocolate, open woodfire and a (serious) point of saltiness - perfectly off-setting the chocolatey malts. Very carbonated, medium bodied, slick, seeming heavier than its 5% ABV would warrant. Only the finish is slightly watery. Very nice, convincing Rauchbier . Grand merci à Dany!
