Cask half-pint in The Station, Oakengates Shropshire on 2nd Jan 2016. Yet another citrus flavoured golden beer from an English brewery. This one could have been one of many, nothing wrong with it, just be bored with the style and taste. Scored objectively.

Sampled @ GBBF day 2. Clear orange golden color, small off-white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, lightly some fruityness, a touch of orange peel, lightly hops, fruit peel bitter. Average body and carbonation.

On cask at Harbour Bar, Kirkcaldy - Decent looking brew, pale gold with reasonable white head. Nose is light malts, bit of biscuit. Taste a bit bland, rather thin on the palate. Out of six in this pub, this came sixth.

Cask@Market Porter, London (backlog). Golden colour, not too much head. Aroma is fruity, floral, bready and mildly nectary notes. Flavour is floral, bready, caramelly and also has some wooden notes. More a golden ale than a bitter imho.

Cask @ 3 Judges. Clear golden colour, off-white head. Nose is light malted, bit of fruits, a bit nutty. Flavour is ligt malted, a bit nutty upfront, a bit odd. Bit of fruits. Mild, soft finish.

Cask at Thomsonโ€™s Bar. A golden ale with small head retention. The nose is of pale malt but fruity. The taste is of more pale malty, but the hops and malt seem to be conpeting. The palate is light to medium and again wishy-washy. The overall impression is of the kind of wishy-washy ale that had me running back to lager in the past.
