Pours slightly hazed gold into a snifter. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Banana and clove aromas. Dry with sweet banana bread and coriander front to back. Medium length Unibroue clove finish.

Hazy, thin head, tan colour. Has a little bit of phenols on the nose, and a touch of alcohol. On the palate, a touch sticky, again plasticy phenols, and a touch of alcohol to dry out the finish. To me this is a fairly subpar Unibroue.

750 ml corked and caged bottle. Pours a lightly hazed gold color with a small creamy beige head. Faint fruity malt nose with yeasty notes. Sweet, fruity malt flavor has notes of bubblegum and passionfruit. Easy drinking with soft, bready notes. Decent flavor at a real TJ value.

Bottle. Pours cloudy golden yellow with foamy white head, earthy vanilla aroma, high carbonation, mildly bitter earthy taste with a bit of salt and a hint of citrus, smooth body, abrupt finish with earthy aftertaste. Smooth and tasty.

I found this to be closer in style to a Belgian ale given en how dry it is. This beer has an impressive appearance with a cloudy yellow color and tall white that laces the glass. Fragrant Unibroue yeast. Light flavors of citrus, under ripe melon, and a little sweet malt. Good palate. This would pair well with food.

Deep copper and bronze coloured body with a nice, frothy off-white head, about three centimetres tall. Aroma of honey, yeast, grain, curacao, coriander seed, pure wheat and a heavy dose of complex sugars from apricots and other light fruits. Medium-bodied; Assertive grain and yeast flavours with a nice strong but not too pungent alcohol bite along with some sweetness that hits well. Aftertaste shows a bit of complexity with the yeast, bread and curacao along with some sweetness from honey and the fruits, but goes down fairly smoothly and easily, especially for the alcohol content. Overall, a decent enough beer that is quite similar to other beers from Unibroue with more of a simplistic and less 'funky' flavour profile with a light sweetness and moderate malt body that shows well, but not amazing. If you are buying this and deciding on whether to age it or not, I'd recommend just drinking it now and saving space for other beers, unless for some reason you have a TJ vertical line up and this is the 2017 portion of that selection. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Trader Joe's in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 17-December-2017 for US$5,99 sampled at home in Washington on 19-December-2017, just two days later.

750ml bottle. Hazy unfiltered orange body. Thin white head. Zesty Belgian yeast and noble hop aroma. Sweet and full bodied. Not overbearing with the alcohol, a pretty true to style Belgian Blonde. Peppery, hints of banana in the yeast character. Great mouthfeel. Quality offering.

C&C 750 mL bottle from TJ’s Brookfield, 12/8/17. Hazy orange, thin fizzy white head, fair retention. Aroma of yeast, citrus, dry pale malts. The taste is bright citrus, orange particularly, yeast, spice, hints of clove, bready malt. Medium bodied, high carbonation, bright. Solid.
