Bottle. Pours a nice, rich copper-ruby with a mild, filmy head. Light aroma of bready malts. Has faint sweetness, with little in the way of flavor, but just some mild bready malts and slight metallic notes. Not very bitter. Light in body with average carbonation. Thin, clean finish with closing impressions of light malts. Very bland.

500ml bottle. Pours brown with a small head. Aroma is skunky and metallic, some malt. Not much to taste, maybe some malt in there? Light bitter finish. Glad it only set me back 95p!

Light bronze. Earthy nose, some caramel maltiness. Light, caramelly with some mineral character. Maybe some light toast. Neutered, like most of these pasteurized English ales are.

Bottle. Beautiful rich coppery brown with small loose white head. Pleasant aroma of hops and malt with something else clean and hard I can’t place (which might be a type of hops I am not tuned in to). Light body and carbonation. Pleasant and simple flavour of malts and hops. Well balanced with some fairly subtle bitternes in the finish. Crisp and refreshing. Overall, a nice easy drinking beer.

9th December 2008. Clear brown beer. Watery low carbonation. Mild hop, mild malt. Drinkable but ultimately just another boring English bitter.
