Virginia Apples provide notes of tropical fruits that are complemented by the addition of grapefruit peel. Infusing the cider with hibiscus provides a subtle floral aroma and a beautiful pink hue.

On tap @TreeRock. goblet. 8.4% edition. Pretty clear, pale cranberry brew with a wisp of head. Grassy, nondescript scent. Maybe a little melon. Bold, acidic, pithy, slightly soapy, bitter apple & hard yellow grapefruit skin. Excellent integration. Dry, yet juicy. Dusty finish. Mellow carbonation. Subtle ABV for the list. Love the pithy feel. Good.

Beautiful pink coloured body with hints of ruby and of course, a very fast-dying off-white head. Aroma of fragrant apples, light raspberries, a touch of tart cranberries (this must be the hibiscus) with a dash of deep pungent citrus that shows through towards the end. Light-bodied; Strong apple and tart flavours dominate, but show a nice and lightly grassy and slightly rustic fruit flavour that shows like a berry, but is a bit more tart and much less sweet. Aftertaste is dry, yet complex, with the tart fruits and floral notes showing through without too much pure apple sweetness, but ends up being very crisp at the end. Overall, a nice enough, very light cider with tons of flavours and a robust complexity that hits the dry and tart notes better than the sweet and appley ones, good for the style and a welcome alternative to most other ciders. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington for US$2,49 on 17-June-2020 sampled at my house here in Washington on 06-July-2020.

500ml? bottle at home. Poured a still pink-hued orange color with a small, wipsy white head. Bitter grapefruit peel, light floral notes. Okay. A touch bitter. Would probably be a touch better if it was a little more sessionable.

Apple, cherry, strawberry nose, volatile. Clear pink. Tart, fairly dry but flavorful. Crabapple, rosehips. Light body, alcohol is hardly noticeable. Easy drinking and hard to believe it is 9.5% ABV. I’m not convinced it is.
