Pretty hazy deep copper and bronze coloured body with a fairly thick and fast-dying five to six centimetre tall tan and very soapy head. Aroma of grassy and pretty floral hops with a strong bitterness, a dash of resin and light candy notes that seems to show some sweetness and a dry malt scent. Medium-bodied; Crisp grassy and floral hops s how at first with a soft soapy and more pungent malt bite with a nice balance and still some robust bitterness at the end that showcases the hops, but still brings out the malts and slight rustic nuttiness that shows that this came from the East Coast. Aftertaste is balanced, showing some nice bitterness and a smooth, but noticeable hop note all with the malt and caramelised sugars even stronger. Overall, a nice and robust, pure East Coast real IPA with bitterness but with enough malt, nuts and sweetness to show this as a good beer throughout. Nice to sample and a good beer for this classic style from the SouthWest of Virginia! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Trader Joe's in Charlottesville, Virginia on 20-February-2022 for US$1,67, canned on 06-December-2021 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 20-April-2022.

Taster at brewery. Hazy golden pour, thin head, lacing coats the glass. Aroma is light, but taste does add a really unique Scottish vibe in the malts, not heavy on the peat, but definitely a lot of character.
