Birra pensata per unire le tradizioni brassicole tedesche e americane. Re Hop è infatti un ibrido tra una classica GOLDEN ALE e una AMERICAN PALE ALE, creata con una base di malto Pils per dare risalto al più rappresentativo luppolo americano.
Al naso i sentori sono agrumati d’arancia. Al palato è elegante e amara con piacevoli note erbacee.

Bottle, 5.0%. Slight hazy dark yellow with big off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hops, citrus, little floral and a little grapefruit. Flavour is malt, little sweet, hops, citrus, little bitter, little exotic fruits, little floral and grapefruit.

Capped 750 from Domus Birrae. Pours hazy orange gold with a frothy white head. Aroma of fresh light stone fruit. Med body. Foamy carb. It is mostly fruity hop - not much citrus- with a little floral. Seems a bit more citrus/grapefruit with time. Grapefruit rind after a long time. Quite a bit of smooth hop, but far from the harsh NW bitter.

Bottle@Enoteca Decanter, Milan. A murky dark golden pour with an off white head. Sweetish aroma with pineapple and grassy hop notes standing out. Light bodied. Further citrus hop character in the flavour which gave a steadily building bitterness that dried out in the finish. Slightly lacking in depth, but enjoyable stuff nonetheless.

Au fût @ Moeder Lambic. Encore une des ces brasseries italiennes qui commencent à se faire un nom. Cette dernière, une APA présente une robe dorée avec une légère brume, mousse est épaisse blanche. Arôme sympathique de levure, fleur de houblon allant vers la citronnelle, sûrement du houblon Cascade et un nez malt qui reste un peu en retrait. En bouche, j’apprécie fortement cette touche italienne que j’avais du mal à aimer dans les APA américaines. Le houblon tout comme dans l’arôme donne un côté citron avec qcq notes d’épices (houblon Perle). Levure est aussi légèrement présente, le malt donne ici une caractéristique pils, au fini je note aussi un côté fruité de pommier. Douce et légère, une bonne découverte.

750 ml bottle @ Cardinal. Clear golden body with a huge, foamy white head. Aroma is quite mild but nice citric fruity and spicy with hint of flowers. Flavor is light as well, malt, grapefruit bitter, spicy and yeast. Medium body and medium aftertaste. Relatively light, refreshing and delicate.

Bottled@Vinoteca del Piemonte, Tampere. Hazy yellowish golden colour with mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is lemon, fruits, some bready malts as well as some slight grassy notes. Flavour is bready malts, grass, some mild yeast and quite earthy.

Bottled. Clear golden color, medium head. Fruity aroma, bit hop, hint of barnyard. Bit bitter, some sweetness. Bit strange cheesy note. In Italy I had a couple of sips from this beer at the bar next to the brewery, but I dont recall it to be cheesy or anything. It was much more clean and hoppy. Maybe the bottle conditioning gives it that cheesy and saison-like notes.
