Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy yellow pretty better than their bigger neighbour Belgian White. Good spicy taste and a good bitter finish.

Nieuwhuys’ answer to the commotion that arised when InBev intended to relocate the production of the famous Hoegaarden Witbier to Jupille. The name is the Latin translation of ’Hoegaarden’. Milky, sticky, off-white head, yellowish blonde colour with greenish hue, light hazy. Typical witbier aroma of wheat, coriander, peach, dough, freshly cut grass, sour cream, pineapple and a hint of fried eggs. Rather neutral onset, grainy and wheaty, strong carbonation but mellow mouthfeel, subtle spices, finish a bit ’empty’ and watery.

Regular Belgian witbier. Wheaty body, with smooth yeast. With some fruits and fresh spices. Nice, but it’s all been done before.

Bottle from Beer Planet, Brussels
Cloudy blond color. Nice aroma, quite spicy, a lot of coriander, some bitter oranges too. Highly carbonated, smooth, with delicate wheat flavor, medium spicy character, good balance.
Pleasant.

33cl bottle @ home shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy, opaque pale yellow color, small to medium sized white to off-white head that disappears immediately. Smell wheat, yeast, a hint of fruits. Taste wheat, light fruityness, slight hints of bitter in the finish. Decent, soft mouthfeel. Low to medium body. Easy drinkable.
