Draught Good, fine dense persistent head over slightly clouded shiny-orange beer. Oranges-citrus nose but not really like an IPA. Some yeasty notes, too, fusels. Again extremely yeast-loaded even bread, dry in the finish. As to the hops...? Medium to well-bodied, quite slick, slightly oily. I’m disappointed. I liked SloCK so much better. Was: 6/4/6/3/13 Bottle 75 cl Towering, dense yellow head, shards of lace over hazy, dark-orange beer, lively carbonated. Sweaty, cheesy hops, dry nose, flowery, bit citrussy like grapefruitpeel. Liquorice, harsh-ish hopbitterness, but scarce hopflavour. Again human sweat. Orange oil. Nearly well-bodied, quite slick, oily; Sorry, not convinced again. Liked the SloCK so much more.

Bottle picked up at Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Gent, 19-02-10 consumed 28-02-10 Pours orange amber with white head. Aroma is very much saison like, touch sweeter maybe and just a touch of dry hops. Taste is hoppy, with nice sweet flurry of honey, the Saison characteristics are in evidence but there is a real dry hop feel being played out across the tongue, touch of furry bitterness, there is also a sort of perfumeyness in the mouth maybe a bit of parma violets. I really like this and would make a nice summer beer. A6 A3 F8 P4 Ov15 3.6

750 ml bottle courtesy of Greg at Churchkey - thanks Greg! Slightly hazy dark yellow. Aroma of fresh hops and lemon zest. Taste is citrus, malt, white pepper, and of course hops, but not overwhelming. Very nice.

Bottle. Orange-amber beer with a nice cream colored head. Big hop aroma for a saison. Yeasty, spicy flavor with some citrus and earthiness. Medium bodied. Some bitterness. Spice, yeast, and cirus lingers. Very nice.

Pours deep gold into a snifter. Bright white head recedes to hug rim. Belgian yeast and saaz aromas. Crisp with upfront sweet caramel and dough turning to earthy hops in the lasting tending to grapefruit finish.

Bottle at Chriso Gaylord tasting 09. I picked this up at Dranken Geers. A new De Ranke beer is somewhat of an event. Cloudy gold, lasting beige head. Hoppy flowery beer. My kind of hop flowery Belgian IPA. Not great on aroma. The hops are great. I thought very drinkable.

Bottled@Chriso Gaylord Tasting. Golden colour with particles floating around, not much head. Aroma is hop flowers, some herbs, grass and yeast. Flavour is hoppy, grassy and slightly fruity and sprucy. Rather dry palate.
