Bottle thanks to Jack! Pours a clear deep red with a tan head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has sweet bread and caramel with a bit of earthy grain underlying. Flavor has sweet grains and caramel with some earthy bread, a touch of leaves and a slightly thin finish.

Deep dark ruby and light brown coloured body with a relatively thick two centimetre tall light brown head that stays afloat for a while. Aroma of toasted malt, grain, light earth, nuts and a lot of caramelised sugars. Light-bodied; Strong malty and soured/tart grape notes dominate with a little vinegar funk and cherry sweetness on the end, but only a touch of the malts and hardly any complexity, body or flavours - this is almost more of a cider or kombucha than anything close to a toasted malt beer. Aftertaste shows the soured and fruity flavours with a handful of light malt notes and nothing in terms of alcohol or pungency, just a soft, thin fruit and soured flavour that is quite simple. Overall, an odd and funky beer that tastes nothing like an Amber Ale that I was expecting and instead like a malted cider or something. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Harris Teeter in Arlington (Potomac Yard), Virginia on 04-May-2020 for US$1,87 sampled at my house here in Washington on 26-May-2020.
