Bottled. A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet wtih strong notes of ginger and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of ginger and cardemomme as well as medium notes of caramel, leading to a dry spicy finish. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

(Bottle 25 cl) Courtesy of highlandlad. Clear, dark brown with a reddish hue and a small, beige head. Aroma of fruit, roasted malt and woody notes. Quite full-bodied with sweet notes of fruit and hard roasted malt - and then again these accents of wood. Subdued bitterness. Fairly unique and very pleasant. 171207

25 cL bottle. Pours deep red with a fully gone head. Mild woody note of oak. Flavour is quite woody with a solid malt flavour. Finish is mild caramel malty with more of the same woody note. Nice but also a bit vague compared to other oak aged.

Tap in Redoak - served absurdly cold, but barman advised to allow to warm for several minutes - so did this. Very dark brown with almost no head. Very complex aroma - clearly christmas pudding, but beyond that my nose cannot distinguish the individual aromas. The flavour is similar, but more complex still. Medium body with fairly lively carbonation. I really enjoyed this (but it was after three fruit beers). [Subsequently had a bottle and was similarly impressed, but perhaps a little less so.]

Dark brown color, with an off white head. Ginger, fruitcake and oranges jumping out of the nose. I love it, Christmas in a bottle! Med-full bodied with an underlying sweet maltiness of spices, cinnamon and fruitcake. Nice warming christmas cake finish. The nose was a bit better than the mouth, but overall still pretty good. FYI, My mom bought this in bottle in Canberra

Bottled. Dark brown. Aroma of sage and nutmeg. Sweet and roasty with mild, rounded mouthfeel and rich malt character. Warming and very enjoyable with some herbal bitterness in the finish. The balance between the malt and spices are excellent, and from all the good beers I’ve tried from this brewer this is probably my favourite.
