Tried as "Børglum Kloster Abbedens Dubbel" Head gone in secs, deep red-brown beer. Roasted notes, spicy à souhait , coloured malts. Dry, woody, coloured malts very much to the fore, but very balanced. Medium bodied, dry finish. Interesting, though somewhat light in MF for a dubbel.

Bottled as "Børglum Kloster Abbedens Dubbel" (BB 04/2010)
Hazy nut brown color, small steady creamy beige head. Dark fruity - plum - aroma with light grainy notes. Caramelly, plums and kandy sugar. Some alcohol and yeast. A bit raw, propably needs some cellaring.

Bottle @ thewolf-and-his-flock-of-sheep tasting session. Hazy reddish brown color, short head. Aroma of cup-a-soup chinese tomato. Slightly malty taste. Weird to find this in a double.

Bottle@TheWolf, tasting. Pours deep amber with a orange hew & creamy white head. Lots of yeast, dried fruits & caramel. Good mouthfeel - creamy & smooth. Well made "danish" dubbel!

Draught at Københavnske Øldage. Clear, golden with a white head. I would like it darker. Dried fruits, caramel-notes and a vague roastiness in the aroma. The flavor is quite sweet, with caramel, dried fruits, and the same, vague roasted note found in the aroma. Medium body. Decent dubbel, but a bit pale. (070512)

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a disappearing orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of spices and caramel, the spices include a light note of coriander. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, brown sugar, and alcohol, as well as a light spicy note. OK, but not that Belgian.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a slightly hazy, orangey brown - completely without any head. Lightly vinous aroma with yeast and dried fruit. Medium body with sweetish notes of roasted malt, dried fruit and a hint of port. Quite a hoppy finish. 120507
