Århus2008. 33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a white and dense head. Malty and mild metallic aroma. Flavour is mild breadish to mouldy with a light alcohol note. Medium sweet malty with a light bitterness. Light bitter finish. Not the most fullbodied bock, flushing it down with the closest available bottle of Mikkeller Kidz Beer helps - I should have done a half’n’half :)

Thick mid-sized offwhite head of evenly sized bubbles. Lovely deep dark red body with carbonation. Dense sweet toffeeish roasty malt aroma with musty, tobaccoish notes. Sweet earthy caramel and toffee taste with musty, earthy tobacco notes. Some chocolate as well. Smooth, clean mouthfeel. Dry, caramelly aftertaste with hoppy notes. Dense, powerful taste. Some sugary stickiness left on lips. Very nice! (0.33l bottle from SuperBrugsen near Ordrup.)

(Bottle 33 cl) Usual Ørbæk looks - clear, pretty reddish brown, almost without any head and low in carbonation. Fat, full body with a caramelish character. Fine balance between malt and hops. Well made Bock. 210103

Bottle from JensenTaster - Thanks!
Hazy amber, tanned creamy head. Nice bready malt and delicate, yet slightly metallic hop aroma. Fruity base flavor, some estery and ethanolic notes - could be more restrained. Elegant hops in the background. Good body, fruity/estery aftertaste. Overall quite enjoyable.

Bottled. Ruby in colour. Discrete malt aroma. Rounded, very soft mouthfeel with lovely malt flavour combined with notes of fudge and coffee. Balanced bitter finish. Perhaps not really as dry and sweet as I would have liked, but still they have manage to put together a really good, credible bock beer.
