330 ml bottle, 2010 vintage, bottle No. 25823, from Voldby Købmandsgård. ABV is 6.5%. Mahogany colored beer, large and lasting beige head. Sweetish malty aroma, notes of caramel and molasses, just a hint of orange peel. The well balanced flavour is also malty but not too sweet, moderate notes of caramel and treacle, also hints of mild spices and orange peel, moderate but sufficient hops. Quite enjoyable.

Bottle. It’s a clear, brown beer topped by a finger-thick beige head leaving some lacings. The aroma is a bit weak, roasted malts and dried fruits do most of the work, but there’s also a vinous alcohol hint. The flavor is sweet, with chocolate notes and dried fruits, some alcohol giving a little warmth, and a pleasant level of bitterness to give it balance. Full body. Sweet finish with dried fruits and a some alcohol and bitterness. A quite nice beer, tasteful and pleasant, but a bit weak. 100327
