Fra fat på Nedre Foss Gård 11 Des 15. Svart. Lavt litt farget skum. Tynn lacing. Lett kaffearoma. Smaken ble vel mye kokosnøtt med en anelse lakris. Lett tørr avslutning.

Thick black liquid with a fine tan layer that leaves an ok lacing down the glass. Vanilla, chocolate and coffee in the aroma with an ok intensity. Medium + body and a soft carbonation. Tad sweet and an ok bitterness to balance it up. Chocolate, coconut and vanilla in the flavor. The flavor hangs in there a long while. Nice evening sipper.

On tap @ Patricks. Pitch black body with a nice, dense and lacing tan head. Aroma has mild roasted dark malt, chocolate and moderate vanilla. Flavor has quite strong, moderate roasted, dark malt, quite sweet, chocolate, some coffee, moderate coconut and even more vanilla. Decent bitterness that becomes more obvious after a while. Full body and nice, long lasting aftertaste. Compared with some other ratings here I did not taste as much coconut as others, it might be on the way down as the vanilla is more present, but I like it a lot anyway. Nice.

On tap at Ølfestivalen, Nærbø. Randallized with coconut, vanilla and chocolate I think it was. A lightly unclear dark brown beer topped by a small, dense, beige head. The aroma has chocolate, vanilla, coconut and dark chocolate, some caramel and nuts kicking in. Quite a lot of coffe in the flavor, some roasted kind of bitterness, with the same dark chocolate, coconut and vanilla known from the aroma. I’ts full-bodied, almost warming on the palate, and rather soft. Long finish with coconut, vanilla, dark chocolate and some coffee. The brewers told me they wanted the beer to be reminiscent of the red Bounty bar, I must say they did well. Feels a bit warming on the palate though. 151017

From tap at Ølfestivalen Nærbø 16.10.15 with ABE and OGJ. Almost black. Pale brown head. Heavy aroma of dark chocolate, vanillla, coconut and brittle. Even heavier taste of brittle and caramel. Sticky mouthfeel. Too much to drink more than a taste glass of. Some pine bitterness to balance.
