Mild herber und getreidiger Antrunk. Monotom, aromenarm, langweilig. Trockener Abgang quasi ohne Aromen. Ein erbärmliches Jubiläumsbier. 10/6/5/2/2/2

Can, 4.5%. Mildly sweet and caramelly aroma. Clear dark golden colour. Big stable off-white head. The flavour has a hint of malt and an OK spicy hoppiness, but somehow still manages to taste watery. Could be a lot worse, though.

500 ml can, bought at Vaaland Spesialbutikken, Bryne. ABV is 4.5%. Deep golden to amber colour, big head, slightly off-white. Very moderate aroma, slightly malty, nutty and dusty, hints of caramel. Flavour of a standard lager with some extra caramel malts added, the "dusty" malts dominate the flavour but the beer is not very sweet, fairly dry finish. Moderate hops in the aftertaste. Definitely drinkable, but CB could have come up with something more exciting for their 150th anniversary.

On tap @ Patricks. Clear golden body with a medium off-white head. Light malty aroma with a hint of caramel. Flavor is light malty, a weak hint of light roasted caramel, something sweet and a light but balanced bitterness. Medium body and relatively short finish. Not bad, better than the regular, but pretty straight-forward.

On tap at Patricks Pub, Kristiansand. It serves a clear, copper body under a small, off-white head. Some caramel and candy on the nose, followed by some grains. A bit too neutral. The flavor is quite candy-sweet, slightly grainy, with enough hoppy bitterness to balance it. As the aroma, it’s quite weak. Medium body with pleasant level of carbonation. It’s too sweet, and for a celebration beer it’s utterly boring, but tastes and smells like one could expect from a Norwegian macro brewer. Had a few of those since it was released, and it’s far from bad, it’s easy to drink and quite tasteful compared to the regular CB Pilsner. (090226)
