A rich and fruity traditional Norfolk mild. Good balance of malt with liquorice bitterness and lots of chocolate malt. Dark ruby-red mild with a long lasting finish.

Half-pint in my local Wetherspoon’s on 9th June 2017. Dark brown with a good head that gave some impressive lacing. Bramble fruits, hedgerow fruits and berries in both the nose and taste. Liked it.

Pours a dark red brown colour with a foamy off light beige head. Aroma is malt and fruit, bread, some toffee, raisins and plum. Quite sweet, plenty of rich dark fruit, raisin, prune and some bready malt flavours and a light mild bitterness in the finish.

Cask at the Mulberry Tree, Ipswich. Pours deep ruby brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is very fruity, with blackberries and cranberry, light chocolate and malt. Medium sweetness, light bitterness and tartness. Fairly light body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Possibly the fruitiest mild on the market?

Gravity cask at Drayman’s Son, Ely. Dark brown, almost black. A bit of tan head. Chocolate, malt, a touch of soy sauce. Sweet, fudgey taste, very malty. Touch of astringency in the finish. Very decent chocolatey mild.

On cask at the White Lady. Appearance - dark brown to black with some lovely orange chinks. Nice head. Nose - milk chocolate. Even powdered drinking chocolate. Taste - a mixture of caramel nuts and milk chocolate. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly balanced finish. Overall - an enjoyable mild.

Cask @ The Moon Under Water, Wolverhampton after watching Derren Brown. Put off buying this because of the name but then my curiosity got the better of me! Has a pronounced fruitiness with slight toffee and a little earthiness in there. Not bad.
