Bottle from Drankenspeciaalzaak Jelle, Leeuwarden. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, raisins, toffee, some yeasty notes with a hint of chocolate. Flavour is sweet and light bitter with a mild touch of tartness in the finish. Body is medium. Not a bad Doppelbock, though a bit on the sweet side for my taste, it has a smoothness and I like the unexpected hint of tart fruits.

Bottle. Color: Murky reddish brown, thin mocha head. Aroma: Dark and some roasted malt, caramel, malty. Taste: Malty, caramel, dark malt, subtle chocolate / cocoa notes, hints of nuts. Dry-ish and a little powdery mouthfeel. Medium body, below average carbonation. Nice dry-ish doppelbock. Would love to try a BA version of this Doppelbock.

Fles 33cl thuis. Honing, stroop, maltig, laurier, caramel, wat rood fruit, licht kruidig, licht stroperig. Best lekker. (5-1-2020).

Tap at the Hoppzak, Den Haag. Poured a clear medium orange amber colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is toffee caramel malt. The flavour is moderate sweet, with a smooth, caramel, hoppy, light floral, hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Sampled @ Craft Bier Messe Mainz 2019. A orange brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of strong caramelized malt, Red malt and fruits. Taste of caramelized sweet and strong malt, red fruits, mild bitterness.

Süßlicher, weich herber Beginn. Moderat würzig, feine Karbonisierung, dunkles Malz. Gelungen. 10/10/8/9//10

Hazy redbrown. Aroma is juicy schlehen sweet honey and some butter. Taste is not so sweet with deep melasses. Soothing.

Bottle. Clear brown color with tan head. Aroma is chocolate, roast, liquorice, earthy. Taste is chocolate, light roast, nutty. Almost watery mouthfeel with big-bubbled carbonation. Ok.

Bottle. Hazy dark brown, low head, lightly oxidized roast, dark sugar berries, medium body, a bit sticky sugar, light roast, a hint balsamic, sweet finish.
