XXXX BITTER is a big-hearted lager which is full of pride. That pride runs deep in the ingredients; pure local water, Australian malted barley, Queensland cane sugar, unique Golden Cluster hops and yeast grown at the XXXX Brewery combine for a beer with a signature clean, crisp taste and satisfying after-bitterness.

Ein recht langweiliges Lager. Süffig ist es, das Aroma bleibt aber größtenteils auf der Strecke, erst im Nachgeschmack gefällt das Bier durch feinherbe, lang anhaltende und gut dosierte Herbe. Test vom 10.11.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,6,10,12,12,9 - 9,30

Nice golden lager with collapsable white head. Faint mercaptoethanol in aroma(for the biochemists out there, it reminds me of loading buffer!). Rather bland sweet corny malt taste with rather annoying metallic bitterness. In a can. From Australia, via a colleague. Beurk!

Golden coloured body with a thinnish white head and a bunch of bubbles rising from the bottom. Fragrant aroma of pale malt, light hops and a tiny amount of sugars. Light-bodied; Malty flavour with very little else...some hops, perhaps. Aftertaste shows that macrobrew quality (sarcasm) with some off flavours. Overall, not a great beer, which was expected, but better than a VB! I sampled this from a 12 ounce bottle at the Carlton Crest Hotel in Melbourne, Australia.

Clear yellow color, short head. Quite hoppy and bitter. Smooth and soft taste. The high drinkability in warm climates i can imagine.

A yellow beer with a small but fast disappearing head. The aroma is very slightly malty. The flavor is malty - of a good maltblend and ends on a slight bitterness. Good sweetness and balance. A very enjoyable lager on a bottle. (except for the price)

[Keg] Overturning the expectations...: some hop aroma and a dry malt taste. Not outstanding, but drinkable.

It's been a long time since I tried this one, but remember that it didn't have much taste and went down very easy. I kinda liked it, don't know if I would like it if I tried it today.
