Dark brown color; medium head. Breadish aroma, light chocolate. Good body, with a fair mix of caramel and chocolate, maybe too much chocolate and cereals to be really good, and showing some alcohol too. Average.

The bottle looks normal, the beer in the glass very good. Quite dark, almost black. Aroma very malty, too malty, I would say. Flavor starts the same. Very roast-malty, a little bit smoky, reminds me of bacon. Not my favourite!

(bottle, thanks to Jevers Zeuge!) clear, dark brown, almost black colour with a reddish shine and a fluffy foamy brown head. Light-sweet, roast-malty nose with caramel, cacao, light notes of coffee and liquorice. Roasty bitter flavour with light sweet edges, medium to full bodied with a pleasantly smooth carbonation. Roast-malty taste with caramel, liquorice and herbal notes in the background. Robust roast-malty finish with a burnt bitterness and coffee in the aftertaste. A goodie with Stout and Schwarzbier attributes.

Bottle. Quite malty aroma, a little dusty and roasted, but also a bit weak. Very dark brown colour, almost black, red shine. Small unstable, light brown head. The flavour is very roasted and very nice, some coffee, but also sweet and sour. This is Imperial Schwarzbier.
