Oberlausitzer Braukunst mit dem feinen Unterschied. Das helle Landbier wird nach einer überlieferten Rezeptur gebraut. Unnachahmlich erfrischend im Geschmack.

# 4695; 8/2025. Floral and wet straw aroma. Clear straw body; tiny white head. Floral, light malty and grainy. Light body, higher carbonation. Simple, good Helles. 0,5 l, bottle, Getränkemarkt, Žitawa (Upper Lusatia, Germany).

I've rated this before but it looks like it did not make the trip from Ratebeer. Pour is a clear gold with a large white head. Aroma is wet dough malt. Flavor is more minor wet dough malt with a little sweetness on the back end. For $1.99 a can Helles from Germany I can't really complain. At 4.1% it's a bit light even for the style.

500ml can from the Costco German Biergarten Collection and drank in California on 11th April 2025. Clean light golden body, white head that soon turned to a wisp and collar. Dry and refreshing but lacking in any aroma or depth of flavour. Damp cardboard comes to mind as I sniff and sip it. The only beer I haven't actually liked from the 20 or so I've had from the box so far.

500 ml can from the Costco German Biergarten Collection. Pours a crystal clear yellow-gold color with a large white head and great retention. Great lacing too. Very faint pale lager aroma. Very bready malt flavor with slight sulfur notes in the finish. Not as sweet as most pale lagers or Helles beers. Clean and smooth. Not bad if you don't mind the Euro lager notes. Medium body. Very low carbonation. Not bitter.

I did notice they took the Christmas theme off the German Advent beers. That's today's world. Gold in color with a three-finger head. Aroma is grains, hay, straw and bread. Taste is also grains, hay, straw and bread.

Can 50 cl. Looks like another labeled regular mark. Golden, clear, nice white head. Aroma: grain, light malt, a bit of grassy German hops and cardboard. Taste: light, watery, light malt and barley grain, mild hoppy finish, some sadness.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours clear gold with a moderate white head. Aroma is a rather clean, not so much fruit as herb/veg. Arguably med body. Flavor is crisp/clean. Grass, mild spice, green melon. Quite refreshing.

Enjoyed directly from bottle. Nose: grain, straw, hop traces. Palate: light to medium body, average carbonation. Taste: sweetish malt, straw, restraint hop. Low to light bitterness.
