Seasonal - December until it runs out. Has appeared at other times of year. Also available bottle conditioned.
Strong, dark and rich, yet surprisingly drinkable for a beer of its strength. A substantial beer that should be treated with caution!

Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge brown head. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, fruits, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of dusty hops, malt, caramel, alcohol, and yeast, leading to a dry bitter finish. Thanks KimJohansen for sharing.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours a clear orangey brown with a creamy and lacing beige head. Aroma of dried fruit and wood. Medium body, dried fruit and licorice with distinct woody almost bourbony accents - where do those come from? Sweet overripe fruits. Nice one. 301109

Bottle Hazy, deep black bod. Lightly brown, creamy head. Aroma of coffee, liquor, molasses, chocolate: very nice and complex. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet flavour.

Picked this up from Beers of Europe Poured dark brown, not much of a head. Aroma a little bit fruity (Dark fruits steeped in something strong) tasted pretty much as expected quite malty, rich dark stewed fruits, alcohol occasionally noticeable but quite refined really. A nice beer but not particularly memorable.

Bottled. Very dark ruby, small beige gead. Light dusty fig aroma. Fairly sweet with clean, bold malt character and medium body. Dry dust covers the malt, hops stay in the background. Somewhat raw in the mouth. Medium bitterness.

Cask gravity at Blakes, Dover. I thought this was a house badge beer as the beer is called Blake’s and so is the pub in Dover. But no! This gives me another rating. Ha ha! Good seasonal dark winter warmer with good malt and some bitterness
