December brings the last of our seasonal beers - biscuity and bitter with a long finish.

A colour of dark copper leads to a nose that is hoppy and spicy, a balanced palate and a long, hoppy finish.

There are both crystal and chocolate malts in this tawny beer - it’s full bodied with a delighful hop character from Challenger and Styrian Goldings.

330 ml bottle. Clear, slightly dark golden body with a decent off-white head. Aroma is mild but fine, malt, citric fruit, pine and caramel. Flavor is fresh, light malty, caramel, citric fruit and some bitterness. Very easy to drink but also a very nice, soft and clean flavor. I don’t see any connection with anything that might have a reference to winter (except for the name) but this is a really nice session ale. I could really have some bottles of this.

Pours amber-gold with decent head which hangs about. Fruity nose, maybe grapes with a malty background. To taste, the malt is dominant, so not so much hoppy-bitterness! Texture and structure are both as you would expect from a pale ale.

Bottle, thx to Tarjei. It pours a clear, golden body and a small, off-white head disappearing rather quickly. Citrusy, piney, fruity nose with just some maltyness. A bit thin on the palate, but then, it’s just 4.5% ABV so I won’t complain. The flavor has a fine bitterness as well as fruity, citrusy hops and some malty flavors. Bitter, fruity and citrus-peel like finish where the malty flavors lurks in the background. A very easy drinking beer, quite tasteful too, but far from pushing in any way. 101119

Bottled 330ml @Rotterdam, Helsinki (BB 03/2012)
Clear amber/copper color, small white head. Aroma is ryeish with bready hoppyness. Light to medium-bodied. Fruity-flowery and piney hoppyness over sweetish, honeyish maltyness. Light lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Similar flavors than in Bitter&Twisted, but more watery.
