37,5 cl Bottle vintage 2008 as ”Organic Pitfield’s 1890 Stock Ale” @ Gallows Bird ⅩⅦ Real Ale Festival, BBE 12/2015
Aroma has lots of toffee typical to Engilish ales. Also some honey and hints of plastic glue. Flavour has ’cold’ moldy cellar notes, some toffee, alcohol, sweetish apples, some raisins and distant pear notes. Also some dried fruits. Finishes with some English hops and toffee. A feeling of a ’beer too old’ here. Interesting. Adding the yeast makes this a bit more messy and bitter.
