Cask stillage at the brewery. Poured a clear golden colour with a thin white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is malt, buttery yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, somewhat light, earthy, woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask @ Albion, Winchester. Blonde with a small head. Hoppy brew lacking somewhat in flavour, although at an easy drinking strength. Has a lower bitterness factor.

Half-pint, cask ale, shared with Finn at Albion. Fair white head, spotty lacing, clear golden body. Ripe fruity nose, hints of lime. Moderate taste of grainy lemon, lightly spiced. Semi-dry fruit bitter end. Clean in the mouth. Pretty good. (Winchester 23.10.2019)

Cask, gravity dispensed, at the brewery tap in Cheriton.... on a gorgeous summer’s evening. Pale straw in colour, with a billowing white head, in even though it’s come straight from the barrel, and catching the evening sunlight brilliantly as I sit outside the pub; the aroma is malty with a touch of farmyard and some green hops; it’s soft in the mouth with some herbal bitterness from the start and a biscuity base with some light mandarin citrus on top. Elegant, refreshing, and perfect for the occasion.
