By far our most popular ale. An aroma of pale malt and hops introduces you to a beautifully hoppy bitter beer, despite the predominant hop character, malt is also evident, fresh and clean tasting.

10th April 2015: lunchtime hand-pulled pint in The Rovers Return, Douglas Isle of Man. Bog standard UK style session bitter. Amber/brown body with an off-white topping. Blend of light malts and bittering hops, semi-sweet malty lead with a bitter finish. OK overall and a pleasant lunchtime drink.

Cask @ HQ Bar, Douglas. Brown-orange in the glass, the beer starts smooth, hints of sourness, malt, fruitiness. The mainpart is fruity, fresh, hints of bitterness, fruity hints together with hints of caramel. The aftertaste is fresh, smooth, not too bitter, hints of caramel, malt, slightly sweet. Nice!

Cask @ Wellington Arms, Bedford. Golden brown with a tiny head. Aroma of wood and sour citrus. Bittersweet taste tempered with some umami/sour. Very unfocused. I usually like Bushy’s but not this one.

Cask@GBBF 2009. Clear amber color, small white head. Hops, which smell like a glue, in the nose. Flavor has toffee, apples and then some fruity hops in the finish. Fruity mess, a bit odd flavor for a bitter.
