A golden ale with a hint of malt sweetness from caramalt with passion fruit and grapefruit aromas on the nose. First taste gives a complex zesty hop palate leading on to a fresh herby finish.

Nelson Sauvin hops give this beer some of the aroma and flavour characteristics similar to a Sauvignon blanc wine.

Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grass, citrus, resin, tropical fruit and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight malt sweetness. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Pale straw with a tight white head; grainy aroma with some lemony citrus; smooth and grainy with a sweet fruity flavour; followed by a good mouthful of hops giving a grapefruit bitterness. Not bad, but a poor second to the Slaters Haka.

Cask at GBBF 2009. Gold, slight haze, thin lasting beige. Good hoppy blond/golden bitter. Lovely tasty hops to be honest. What a golden ale should be. Gripping hop.
