Our staple bitter and best seller. This smooth Kentish style tawny session bitter provides a pleasing balance of Larkins hops, malt and with a surprisingly plentiful character for a beer of such low ABV. An entirely sensible drink and a staple of the house beer pump in all the best local houses.

Stockport Beer Festival 2023. About as traditional as it gets, with a mildly sticky-sweet taste in a clear amber coloured ale with a glow.

Cask at The Rock, Chiddingfold. Malty slghtly sou edged funky aroma. Thin frothy head. Light brown. Medium bitter with a hint of sour. Actually quite spicy. Thin. Light. Flat. A tad astringent finish. Decent bitter. Got a bit of character, as advertised.

Draught at the Gallipot Inn. Slightly citrusy but not overly coming through in the taste. Classic cask ale task yet gentle on the palate. Very light / watery. Could go the distance for a good session (but not sure you’d want to..)

Tapped (@The Flower Pot, Maidstone, Kent, U.K.): Deep golden to light amber coloured, a bit unclear, creamy and lacy off-white head, slightly caramelly, but mainly fruity nose with a bready touch; dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, soft; slightly lingering caramelly-bitter finish with an illusion of dried fruits. O.K. ......
