Pale beer with plenty of malted wheat for a balanced mouth feel. Well hopped with Cascade hops for both bittering and aroma. Rainbows End was the name of the café at the terminus of Ashover light railway which is to be returned to its original site in 2008.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a pale yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma wut there are traces of citrus and corn. In the mouth it has a slightly buttery texture with overall sensation being sweet but quite sharp and fizzy. Main flavour is initially orange, but later on floral hops and a hint of spices come through. Reasonable – but a bit too citrus orientated for me.

Cask at the Fuggle & Nugget, Burton. Light gold, clear, no head. Hay and light notes of lemon balm on the nose. Taste is quite sweet with a scratchy hop bitterness in the long finish. This is a hard beer to like. I normaly like Ashover but this beer doesn't excite me.

Cask at Cherry Reds, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a thin broken white head. The aroma is skunky malt, buttery cream yeast. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a light watery woody hop bitter, light fruit palate. Light to medium bodied with soft carbonation.

On cask at Sheaf View, Heeley - Light golden colour with a slight haze and a reasonable head. Good grassy hops, malty, bit of biscuit. Dry bitter finish is just right. Nice refreshing stuff.
