Bottled. A hazy nut-brown beer with a thin lazing tan head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, malt, caramel, and over ripe fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of nuts, caramel, alcohol, and a bit of wood, leading to a dry caramel finish. Good body.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of JohnC. Pours a clear reddish brown with an off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma with some nice aroma hops. Solid body, lots of burned caramel and a little licorice. Some hops in the finish. Really comes out more like an American style Barley Wine. Very delicious. 231109

Bottle thanks to AmEricanbrew. Hmm, I have seen this before on tap at Naja’s Place. Pours with a tan head and a hazy brown body. Aroma of raisins, chocolate, and toffee. Taste is chocolate, raisiny, light wood and alcohol. Syrupy mouthfeel.

Courtesy of riversideAK. Pours brown with copper hues and persistent haze. The aroma comes across first as bit hot followed by dark fruity esters that are hidden behind the alcohol but are trying hard to be rich and chewy. A bit of butterscotch is also noticed in the background. The taste starts with fruity esters of prunes and black grapes as well as licorice before some butterscotch notes begin to build up toward midway. Into the finish it gets thick with sweetness along with a wedge of pine hop bitterness.

Bottle. Aroma of roasted caramel and citric/piney hop. Very dark mahogany color with a beige head. Medium body with creamy carbonation. Flavor is roasted malt and a little hop; no citrus or pine. Fair amount of heat. Lots of subtle flavors. Dark fruits, wood, perhaps vanilla. Smooth, slightly sweet finish with heat in the throat.
