Copper color with lasting head. Bready aroma. Flavor is mild caramel malt sweetness, light toast and wood, with a crisp, moderate, floral hop bitter finish that fades away.

Pours a clear orange-amber color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Short strings of lace. Caramel, malt and mild hops in the nose. Light to medium body with flavors of caramel malt, earthy hops and a bit of fruit. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

Can into el rey del mundo glass. Big foaming head goes rocky. Smell is typical beery aroma. Look is not as dark as iced tea and it’s slightly cloudy. Taste is ESB-ish fer sure. Perhaps a little more personality than I care for, but its not bad overall. Decent co2. Yes, a little medicinal for 5%. Does not hide the alky well. Goes down fairly easy. Finish leaves that slight medicinal feel on yer palate. So, is the skull and bones a pirate label or that of the 13 colonies? WTF?

Draft at the brewery taproom during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. Tasty little ESB, does the style justice. Light toasted malts, brown bread. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Further basic, bready malts to finish with light pine needle bitterness. Relatively clean and very drinkable. Good effort.
