Bomberfrom Bottle Barn! Nose of roastinesswith a coffee note; clear dark brown with a big tan, glass-lacing head; flavor has some coffee, chocolate, and a little pepperiness.

Deep black body with a small creamy light brown head. Sweet molassas aroma. Sweet molassas flavor with some caramel and chocolate in the background.

Bottle. Black with tan lasting and much lace. Aroma of cloves, chocolate and malt. Flavour of dark chocolate, malt and hops. Finish mildly hoppy with coffee. A very pleasing porter

Poured a deep watery black from the bomber with sparse off white head. Smells sweet, like brown sugar and roasted malt. Initial taste is malty, not a heavy roast flavor either. Toffee and cherry flavors are flat. This beer goes down easy... a little too easy. A little watery and light taste. Not bad though/

didn’t think there was anything complex about this beer and that was a strength. This is a straightfoward porter. Starting from the appealing appearance with its dark brown body and large, foamy head, to the chocolate, bitter aftertaste, this was a solid ale. Aroma of roasted malts and sweet caramel predominated. Flavors of malts and chocolate were most evident. Nice medium body and ample carbonation. Dry aftertaste.

This opens a bit gushy, all tall mocha brown head that takes awhile to settle down and allow any additions to the glass. A pleasant mix of light chocolate and coffee dominate the aroma, and the flavor is exactly what was promised from the aroma. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a good middle of the road Porter.

Bottle. Blackish beer with a cocoa head. Sweet roasty malt aroma with some vanilla. Roasty, slightly astringent flavor with a bit of nuttiness. Medium body. Roast lingers.

Paid $2.99 for a 1pt 6oz bottle. JEZUZ, this brewery knows how to have a good head. I've had two from them now, and the heads were equally incredible! This one is again fluffy and tan, sitting atop a gorgeous black liquid. Not much of a smell here... I really wish here was. Smooth bittersweet taste, that's actually kinda plain and thin. Nothing compared to the appearance of this brew. Not bad, but not even the slightest bit original. I'm still going to look for more from this brewery. They make beautiful beers!

Pitch black in colour with a dense thick brown head. Aroma of cherries, dark chocolate and some roasted malt. Medium-bodied; Watery mouthful-but still full of flavour. Dark chocolate, cherries and coffee nuances are felt throughout the taste. Aftertaste bland but showing some of the malty and 'dark' tastes. Overall, actually fairly respectable for the style, a bit watery, but shows tremendous flavour regardless. A nice find and a good beer to try! I shared this 65 cL bottle purchased at Chevy Chase Wine & Liquors in Washington with JonR888710. I sampled this one on 29-November-2003.
