Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a thin layer of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Sly stringy lace.
The aroma had a nice roasty to sweet coffee to cocoa bean profile with a low amount of bitterness.
The flavor balances nicely between the roast and the sweet. Adds a sly earthiness to the flavor. Sly roasty aftertaste with finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Roastiness and some bitterness hits my tongue appropriately.
Overall, pretty good porter that I could have again.

Very dark brown beer, clear. Light off white head. Typical Porter nose - slightly sour, a little smoky and malty. Semi soft palate. Tangy dark malt, subtle smoke and coffee followed by soft red fruits, Raspberry being the most noticeable. A little unsweet chocolate as well. A very decent Porter.

Purchased at Habersham Beverage Depot in Savannah, GA; enjoyed from my balcony view of the ocean on my final night of vacation in Myrtle Beach, SC. Appearance is a very dark black with no head, looks very thick which is surprising for the style. Aroma of chocolate, peppermint, molasses, smells intense. Taste is also intense, it does have a soy sauce like consistency, goes down relatively smooth and somewhat thick/syrupy. Molasses like flavor dominates the chocolate, slight bit of coffee bitterness. One of the thickest porters I’ve had to date. It’s good but not too good, happy to have tried it, this one almost tastes stronger than the 4.75% ABV states.
