A cloudy orange coloured brew, there's close to a 1 finger head of foam that shrinks quickly leaving a couple of small islands and a ring around the glass. Lacing is minimal.
The smell has good notes of caramel sweetness and citrus and grassy hoppiness.
The taste starts off with that malty sweetness but is quickly overtaken by a big floral and fruity hop bitterness. The fruitiness I taste is apricot and it works pretty well here.
A good medium mouthfeel with lightish carbonation, it finishes with more fruit, a slight bitterness and some earthy tones. This is pretty tasty and quite drinkable and seems to grow on me the more I sip. Give it a shot if you find it.

Bottle. Buttery caramel malt aroma. Hazy amber with small head. Sweet lightly tangy butter toffee malt and mildly bitter hay flavor. Nice body.

Bottle at 14th Richmond Ratebeer Gathering on 03/19/2011. Mostly clear copper amber body with a medium creamy off-white head. Sweet caramel, earthy malt and light floral hop aroma. Sweet fruity flavor with some caramel, earthy malt and some floral notes. Medium body with moderate carbonation.

Aroma: Smokey and toasted malts
Taste: Toasted malts, woody, smokey with some mild bitterness in the finish
This bottle leaked about 1/4 of the bottle from the cap but when I opened it there was still plenty of carbonation. Nice and tasty

Tap at Stagshead for cricket Hill night. Pours clear amber with fruity nose. tastes grainy, of berries, tropical fruits, woody, toast, bitter finish. odd little brew.

From a bottle smells like old lager. Lots of c02,and taste is just like it smells. I’m surprized its not a lager but a amber ale. Again, the co2 effect on th palate is just lovely. Fun & nice in the sizzling effect. Otherwise, without the co2 I would have given this a 2. Rather strong finish but it seems to be from the alky and not any hops.

12 ounce bottle. Hazy copper color topped by a small cramy beige head. Caramel malt nose hints at butterscotch. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor. Hints of vanilla, almond and biscuity malt. Nice hop prescence in midtaste. Finish is clean and crisp.

Cask at GBBF. Clear brown beer. Softish palate, a little dry. Sweetish malt. Peachy fruit and a little orange. Low carbonation and finishes dry but a tasty little beer.

Crisp, slightly hazy amber coloured body with a copper glow and a thinnish, one centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of pale malt, toffee, raisins and a bit of light hops. Medium-bodied; Assertive malty flavour with a little sweetness of raisins, some nuts and a bit of an earthy bite at the end. Aftertaste shows a good deal of malt with only a touch of alcohol and earth and not much else at all. Overall, an okay beer, not great, but decent for the style. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 11-March-2012 for US$8.25/6pack, sampled at home in Washington on 27-March-2012.
