No mere beverage could satisfy the thirst of the courageous and gallant soldiers who stood guard over the colonies of the British Empire. Their thirst could only be quenched by a full-bodied hearty Ale; an Ale balanced with rich flavorful hops. We are proud to offer our interpretation of this English style India Pale Ale for those who long for the time when once your duty was complete, the taste of a fine Ale was reward enough for a job well done.

Draught @ NYC Craft Beer Festival. Cloudy bright yellow with large off-white foamy head, low carbonation, little hops taste, medium bitter finish. Not a great IPA.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with medium off white head that lasts. The aroma is floral hop, pine, and citrus. Medium mouth with light hop bite, citrus, and light bitter finish, decent.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks Yael. Hazy golden. Hoppy aroma with overripe fruits, herbal and floral notes and a bit of yeast. Flavor of fruity and floral hops, light sweetish malt notes and a bitter finish. Light to medium-bodied. Nice and quaffable.

New Beer Distributors, NY 355ml ($2.25): Pours a copper colour with a white head. Aroma is lightly, generically hopped with a malty backbone. This is not hop slaughter; instead, it is a rather standard Northeastern IPA. ’Tis easy to drink and is certainly offensive. Not great, but not terrible.

12 oz. bottle. Hazy amber or copper color. Lasting fluffy, full head. Very nice English example. Malt is the main player with a mild, malt sweetness, light bitterness, and hints of grassy hops. Slightly herbal. Balanced well. A bit under-rated if you ask me. People must be expecting an American hop bomb, which this clearly is not. If you realize this is the English interpretation before you drink it, you should not be too disappointed. I like it well enough.
