Pours below average, light head but solid, gold colour to the thing. Aroma of alcohol, syrup. Taste is bitter syrup, caramel. Very bad this one, but it has a dry finish, which makes you thirsty, which means you’ll likely drink the whole can and get plastered - which is the only thing it’s worth drinking for.

Can. A golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of bread, malt, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, cardboard, bread, and straw, leading to a bitter and dry finish. The body is light.

13/10 A 0.5 l can from a random store in Nice. My first Saarland rate! We didn’t see BB date if off a bit, says 08/09. It poured golden body with medium sized, slightly yellow head. Metallic, and malty aroma. Slightly sweet flowery and honey. Flavor is fine, less metal is felt here, malty based without hops. Thinner in body, with sweetish finish ruined by the metal. Maybe it’s because of the can which looked quite old. Also, I see it’s a pilsener style, so hops might not be felt as it’s old. I didn’t have that feeling, but it might need a rerate, as this way it’s crappy.

Bottle. (St. Wendeler). Sour barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Creamy barley malt and strong bitter grass hops flavor. Stronger hops and weaker malt flavor than average German Pils.

Canned, brewed by Ottweiler Brauerei. Clear golden, airy head. Stale cellar aroma. Sweet and syrupy with foul butyric acid flavour, mixed with btterscotch and old Soviet style apple cellar. No bitterness. Never tasted a german beer with so evident brewing errors. WTF?
