Get outside and reconnect, with a beer that’s as real as it gets. This classic refreshing lager is light-coloured, medium-bodied, and brewed with Styrian Golding and Nugget hops.

Big can from the State store in Charlottetown.I tried this for the first time about twenty years ago and at the time thought it was a great beer, so when I saw it today I couldn?t pass it up. Pours a brilliantly clear apple juice color with a good sized bubbly white head that lasts forever. Sweet bready pilsner and faint spicy floral hops. Flavor follows the aroma quite well. Drinkable but not nearly as spectacular as my memories.

Originally rated August 2009. Not available in Ontario and Quebec (where it is easy for me to get beer - living between those two provinces), I had to try this one in New-Brunswick (where it is brewed). Nice to go on tour with the band, and to go to that province once again. Pours a pale yellow colour (like a light beer ??) with lots of carbonation, a big white foamy head that has decent retention and lots of lacing. The nose is pretty malty with a little sweetness. The malt seems lighter in the taste, with a little hop in the middle, mild apple in the finish and some corn in the aftertaste. Not much sweetness, maybe a touch in the start. Lots of lace left on the glass, way after drinking it. I remember not liking this beer many years back when I had it in N.B. but now, I do not mind it (for swill). Nothing really special, but goes down easy when playing music there in a bar.

Little head, boring yellow colour, not much flavour even for a lager. Rather unintrusive, quite close to water as these things go and hard to differentiate from the pack. Drinkable, but forgettable.

A yellowish lager with a thick white head. A lightly sulfury corn adjunct aroma. In mouth, well, a reasonable quenching lager, with a light biscuitty malt. Innoffensive. Can from Moncton, from Probstk.

Golden with a sparkle. Cooked cabbage aroma with lots of grains. Somewhat crisp with moderate bitterness for a macrobrew. Slightly grassy hop note late, and relatively dry for a Moosehead product. That said, still bland and too much DMS.
