Cask-conditioned at the Hillgrove Porter Stores, Bristol March 2016. Deep amber in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Aroma of red berries and orange peel, with a hint of toasted malts, Flavour had sweetish malts, more fruit, leading to a softly bitter finish. Good.

Cask at the High Cross Inn, Broughton-in-Furness. Copper with a tight white head. Aroma of fresh red cherries with a hint of metal. Sweet and fruity taste. Notes of raspberry, coffee and white chocolate. The sip ends with a nice bittersweet hit. Decent, and that little bit different from your average bitter.

Cask@GBBF2009. Deep golden colour, not much head. Aroma is nutty, fruity, honeyish and also has some grassyness in it. Flavour is hops, grass, mild vegetables and some hints of yeast. Quite dry and "dullish" bitter.

Cask, Hoylake Lights. Dark ruddy amber, lingering thin biege head. Malty aroma and flavour. Softish mouthfeel. Hint of orange peel interspersed with feint hopiness, finishes slightly dry and bitter. Not bad.
