Enjoyed on tap at Vetters Brauhaus enjoying my last night in the Baden-Wuttemburg region of Germany, while meeting some traveling Americans en route to Oktoberfest. This stuff was fantastic. I didn’t take tasting notes, but I remember this being a nice bright gold with a moderate white head, with a great smoked malt flavor. Really happy to have had this one during this time of the year!

Draught at the brauhaus
Cloudy light amber color, with generous creamy head. Mild smoke aroma, mild malt, and very light sourness. Dry and light mouthfeel; decent malt flavor, with a medium smoke character; correct bitterness.
A delicate smoked Helles, still simple at first first attempt.
