Trübe goldene Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Hefiger, malziger, fruchtiger Geruch. Geschmacklich hefig, malzig, fruchtig mit reifer Banane, leicht hopfig. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

500 ml bottle. Cloudy orange, fluffy head. Honey, yeast, estery notes, clove, cough syrup. Mild dryness, honey sweetness. Medium bodied, oily watery, soft carbonated, sweet honey finish.

(bottle 0,5l from pivoteka.cz online shop) Overall: Ok classic weizen. Aroma: Sweet, wheat malt, banana. Appearance: Hazy golden. Medium, white head. Taste: Medium sweet, wheat malt, banana. Palate: Medium body. Creamy texture.

Aus der ältesten Regensburger Brauerei (gegründet 1226). Relativ dunkel für ein hellen Weizen. Ordentliche Menge Hefe. Interessanter, süßlicher Geruch. Geschmacklich recht malzbetont. Etwas Frucht, etwas Getreide, mild gehopft. Minimale, interessante Sherrynote. Sehr spritzig. Weicher wäre hier aber besser und würde den Charakter dieses Bieres besser betonen..

On tap at Spitalgarten Regensburg. Hazy orange/golden coloured, medium sized white head, mild wheaty yeasty nose. Wheaty, light yeasty, notes of banana and touch of spices with mild citrusy notes in the finish. Pleasant but a bit thin.

Bottle. Pours hazy straw with stable white head. Clear aroma of grain, yeast and banana. Sweetish flavour of malt and yeast, with notes of banana and touches of hops and grain. Sourish, grainy aftertaste. Slightly acidic and estery aftertaste. Okay.

Bottle, 5.2% as Spital Weizen. Citric and yeasty aroma, lots of banana. Cloudy greyish yellow colour. Big stable white head. The flavour has a lot of banana and a weak burnt plastic note. Then comes some lemon peel and a good yeasty note, like quite fresh white bread. Refreshing and quite clean.

Draught Very good dense light yellowish head over fully hazy orange-yellow beer. Clove, fruitesters (some banana, some citrus), but clove/allspice is all-dominant. Light acidity, much wheat underneath, grainy. Babyfood mash. Warming up, more banana. Wheatslickness & yeastfill, good body, very carbonated. Clove is a tad too dominant, but the finish brings it all together well.

500ml bottle. Hazy golden colour with relatively small, frothy, white head. Wheaty, yeasty aroma, hints of apple and straw, a touch of yeast spiciness. Taste is yeasty spicy, slightly wheaty, cautious fruity hints of apple and banana; prickling carbonation. Quite refreshing, not overly rich and deep.

Bottled (from Bier Zwerg). Hazy orangeish golden colour with a mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is mild banana, some citrus, mild yeast, wheat and some toffee as well. Flavour is banana, citrus, yeast, wheat and some slight wooden notes as well. OK, but nothing that special.
