Bottled. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of caramel, straw, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and starw as well as lighter notes of metal, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Golden colour, mediumsized white foamy head. Aroma is a bit eggy, vegetably, mildly bready malty as well as some mild herbal notes. Flavour is bready malts, some herbs, quite grassy as well as some mild earthy notes as well. Actually very pleasant flavour.

bottle from Bierzwerg. Clear golden colour, large white head. Malty nose. Intensively malty, hints of honey. A bit similar to their export, perhaps a bit lighter. Aromatic hops blend in in the lingering finish. Often beers of the style are bland and boring - this one isn’t. I love the malt they use, so i really loved the beer.

On draught at the I-O Espresso Bar in Vilshofen, Germany. This brew pours a clear golden orange color with a medium fizzy white head that dissipates slowly. Rings of lacing throughout. Grainy malt aroma with notes of hops. The beer has a light body with a lightly fruity character and flavors of bready malt and hops. The finish is clean and malty with a short fruity aftertaste. Above average overall.

0.5l bottle, courtesy of F&L. Well, last time I've had it it was purchased on the same trip when I passed through this part of Bavaria last, 16.5 years ago. Crystal clear golden body, white head. Sweetish, somewhat grainy aroma. Lean, dry taste, quite empty, watery, enormously clean maltiness, maybe just lightly honeyish, vague citric touch again. Hah, guessing the recipe didn't change but my palate and understanding of the style did.

0.5l bottle, shared with ogivlado who purchased in some store en route to Plzen (thanks!). Poured a pale golden colour with a medium sized thick white head that took its time to go away. A salty, hoppy nose, some malt too. Fine honeyish malty taste, lightly acidic herbal-lemony hop. Fine and balanced. I’m with pivnizub on this one, this is a fine, quality helles and kinda deserves the "Edel". 6/6/6/4/7
