Cask at the Crosse Keys, JDW, London. Pours clear, red-gold with a small, bubbly white head. Aroma holds some lightly sharp bready malts, dry clay and light leaves. Light sweet flavor with some toasted leaves, very mild dry caramel, faint toast. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Pretty bland to finish, with dry toast and wimpy leafy bitterness, some faint berries and wood. Pretty mediocre stuff here.

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading] Amber, thin white head. A bit of caramel, a bit of vanilla, some mild, dusty straw. A little bitterness. Rather thin and bland. Very, very dull - a very standard bordering on sub-standard bitter.

Cask handpull at Thomas Ingoldsby Spoons Canterbury. Light brown thin beige head. Some biscuit some fruit salad. Some vague hop dryness on finish. Ok but a dullish bitter. The biscuit is quite nice

Malty aroma followed by a malty and bitter taste. Not a great texture and flat looking.

Half, well kept on cask at The Castle, Holborn. A few floaters on top of a hazy, amber body. Grassy hops to the nose. The taste character is all about resinous and leafy hops. Some grainy notes, too. Satisfying bitter endnotes (London, 03.08.2009).

(Cask, The Castle) A bit hazy amber color, small white head. Nutty, grassy aroma. Grassy, woody hoppy flavor. Slightly tart, the end of keg. Still drinkable.
