Cask at the Half Moon, Windlesham - 01/02/13. Dark chestnut brown with a bubbly off white/beige head that retains well. Nose carries dark malts, toffee, nutty tones. Taste follows, nutty, toffee, some sugar evident, touch of spice. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, fairly soft and smooth on the palate. Decent drop.

(Cask@The Harp, London) Dark brown in colour with small off-white head and good lacing. Aroma and taste of caramel malts, hops, and nice nutty toasted undertones. Very good.

Cask at the Craft Beer Co. It pours dark brown, with a thick foamy beige head and low carbonation. The nose is caramel, wood, leather and chocolate. The taste is sweet caramel, roasted malt, cola, wood, nut, burnt malt, wood, charcoal, coffee and chocolate, with a dry finish. Perhaps a bit thin, but what can you expect from this sort of alcohol percentage? Yet another tasty brew from Dark Star.

(Cask at Angleterre, Helsinki, 2011-03-21) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was long lasting and light brown. Aroma had roastedness and nuts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were roastedness, nuts, hops, mildly coffee and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was a little bit burnt and quite bitter. A tasty brew with a bit too harsh finish.

Cask på Seven Stars, Chancery Lane 4 Okt 10. Ekstremt mørkebrun / svart. Lavt kremskum. God nøttearoma. Smaken svakt søtlig. Søtt helhetsinntrykk men en fin overgang til en forsiktig bitter avslutning.

Cask at the Harp, London. Pours a dark, amber-brown with a soft, tan cap. Lightly roasted malt aroma. Fairly sweet flavor, with some dark fruit, smoke, dark and roasty malts, and faint bitterness. Light to medium in body with soft carbonation. The finish is more lightly roasted malts. Nice beer.

Kopparfärgad ale drucken på fat på Hawkley in. Nötig smak och typisk fruktig real ale karaktär. En av de bättre.
