Bottle at the Saint Malo beach. Pours a hazy amber orange color, topped with a small off-white head. Sweet and fruity aroma, lots of black currant and some cherries. Taste is sweet and fruity, currant feel with mild bitterness in teh finish. Very nice.

Commissioned fruit beer for France but brewed at Binchoise. Stable, moussy, ’dirty pinkish’ head over a clear orangey red beer with good fizz. Sweet aroma of blackcurrant jam, sugar, grenadine, lemon candy, sweet honey, industrial apple cake, lavender soap, wet paper. Sugary sweet and candyish in the mouth but not as cloying as I had feared, lemonade-like due to the lemon extract which adds a bit of acidity, sharpish carbo, thin and smooth mouthfeel, some basic malt sweetishness underneath, finish is a bit watery with remaining sugary sweetness and remaining lemon candy effect, fading away quickly, with practically no hop bitterness to speak of; there is a kind of medicinal cough syrup impression too. I do not like artificially sweet fruit beers, but this one is not really that bad, just uninteresting - a stereotypical ladies’ beer, some would argue, though I disagree with the stereotype, of course.

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais and drunk at home. Hazy dark pink lasting white pink head. Sweetish, kiddie sweet red fruits, strawberry and raspberry in a very artificial way. very artificial in it’s flavour. Yes, not a good beer. Sweet, red fruit, artificial.
