Smells bourbon, vanilly, soy sauce, spices, bit leathery, peppery. nice smell overall (expected a bit more). full body, no carbonation, very oily mouthfeel. Tastes bourbon, vanilla, bitter chocolate, toffee, light ash, some soy sauce, spices, some berry notes, blackberries. Finishes lightly sweet and lightly roasty bitter with notes of bourbon, berry notes and bitter chocolate. This is very nice, not sweet at all, but rather thick texture, nice notes of bitter chocolate and light berry notes. a bit too cheewy, and a tad of carbonation would be nice, but overall very good. gets sweeter once it warms

Thanks fonefan! Pitch black colour, small dark brown head. Aroma is toffee, liquorice and mild alcohol with some slight inky tones to it as well. Flavour is liquorice, raisins, some dark chocolate with roasted tones with alcohol and some rather heavy rye syrupy tones (not so sweet).

Sample, thanks fonefan! Viscous black, no head. Aroma of chocolate cake with some dark cherries. Sweet with full body and viscous mouthfeel. Chocolate cake and maple syrup, maraschino cherries. Warming finish. Tolerable, as far as pastry stouts go.

Bottle, thanks for sharing! Pours black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has dark grains and roasted malts with some chocolate and some vanillay bourbon coming through. Flavor has dark grains and chocolate with roasted malts and bourbon coming through.

So thick you need a spoon to drink it! Alcohol, dark chocolate, cocoa, oak, some sourish berries add balance to sugary sweetness.
